Using the novel solution, developers can integrate M2SYS’ Bio-Pluginä with a central software application that is distributed to multiple workstations through the CITRIX metaframe server. Each workstation can then be equipped with a local, USB powered fingerprint sensor device that captures images from subjects. Once an image is captured, the plug-in extracts the unique fingerprint minutiae data and transmits this information over the CITRIX ICA channel to the central fingerprint processing server. The server, a component of Bio-Plugin, then executes a one-to-many identification mechanism and displays the result within the host application.
