M2SYS Releases First Free Learning Podcast on Patient Identification in Healthcare
Today marks a milestone for M2SYS as we release our first free educational podcast. Our inaugural podcast addresses patient identification in healthcare as we discuss some of the major issues and challenges along with some possible solutions with Nancy Farrington, Enterprise Master Patient Index Administrator with Main Line Health. Nancy has over 30 years of experience in patient access and is a former National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) Board member.
In what will be an ongoing series of free podcasts that touch the major verticals we serve (healthcare, workforce management, membership management, retail point of sale, public safety, and banking) the topic of patient identification in healthcare is increasingly bubbling to the top of discussions on how to increase patient safety, prevent duplicate medical records, and prevent medical identity theft which all place tremendous financial strain on hospitals throughout the country.
We are grateful that Nancy was able to lend her time to this free podcast and she offered wise insight on the major issues plaguing accurate patient identification in healthcare in addition to possible technological solutions that hospitals can invest in to curb identification inaccuracies.
