Biometric Technology is a Great Gift to the Human Race and the Future Will Be Full of Surprises

Spread the love

Biometric technology is one of the fastest-growing ones in the world and is being used in various disciplines. In simple terms, it is the body measurements and calculations related to human characteristics. When it comes to its use in technology and daily use, biometrics authentication and access control are used for a different purpose. According to Muneeb Qadar Siddiqui the technology itself is not the only thing getting the fame it deserves, asks any custom software development services providers and they will educate you on the values of creating biometric software to provide you with the necessary assistance.

Fingerprint, face recognition, hand geometry, and iris recognition are just some of the technologies and ways used in biometric technologies. Before starting the topic and offering you further information about the latest biometric technology, let me offer you some insight and a brief history of how it all started.

The History before Biometrics

Since prehistoric times, humans have had a knack for searching for information and how to find clues to the unknown. People used to track people’s footprints to trace a thief or a culprit required in any case of theft or murder. In some countries and remote regions, it is still a way to find a clue as not everyone uses the latest technology. Some technologies like nuclear are still expensive and complex enough as not everyone can use them or afford them in the first place.

Fingerprints have been in use for thousands of us now, but their practical use in nabbing criminals started in the mid-17th century. This can be termed as the first use of biometric technology in modern times to use in daily use. Now fingerprints are in use in our daily lives as biometric verification for banking and locks for cars, for example.

What is Being Done Nowadays?

The scope of biometric technologies is huge as there are many ways to use them, and surely the future holds more for us. There are many types of technologies like access control, government databases, signature recognition, and smart city projects. Smart City projects are one of the highlights of using biometric technologies at the heart of it. Such cities are urban areas where different types of sensors are used to collect data, and then it’s used for managing resources and services efficiently and effectively.

Use in Smartphones and Mobile Technology

The use of biometric technology in smartphones and other handheld devices is one of the highlights of using it in these devices. Fingerprint detection and Iris scanning are now being used in many smartphones. A Dallas mobile app development company’s assistance can make businesses work wonders by getting new technologies to cater to their clients. New technologies in the future related to handheld devices may contain people’s smell and taste, something specialized software and hardware.

Let me define access control too that is being used in our everyday life.

Access Control

Access control is related to physical and information security so that a check can be put in place for user authentication. There are many ways this is quite common, as fingerprints are usually used to access a door. This can be placed at the front door of a house or at any location. Locks and login credentials are commonly used for this as locks with fingerprint access are now available.

Geographical access control is used so that any area can be secured with it. Ticket counters and access to a building can be controlled through technology. That’s why it is being used in many places across the world and virtually in every country. There are many features that we use daily, and hence it is one technology related to biometrics that is used universally.

What the Future Holds for Us?

As biometrics is all about using human body measurements and calculations, there are several ways to be perfectly used across different walks of life. There can be many technologies in the future that may help us in the future. Some of them are already in the pipeline, but we don’t know anything about them yet.

Technologies Related to the Warfare

Chemical and biological weapons are always feared as they can cause destruction of biblical proportions. That is why all the countries even have these weapons to abstain from using them as much as possible. But in the future, their use cannot be ruled out, which is the biggest fear. The wrong use of these weapons is the worst that could happen as the entire humankind could be wiped off from the face of the earth.

As a result of using the dangerous weapons mentioned above, war will be more brutal but quick as all the countries will try to avoid it. On the other hand, the technology used through biometric technologies is not that lethal. Hand grenades and rocket launchers can be used with fingerprints or other technologies like iris scanners so that only authorized personnel can use these weapons.

Technology for the Humans

Hindi several Technologies for the humans so that everyone Can benefit from it. It can be used for agriculture and making sure how fruits and other kinds of food can be taken care of. Just think about how you will be able to identify the taste of your favorite fruit. And never again will you have to buy a fruit that is sour or bad in taste.

Final Word

There can be several ways in which biometrics can be used for our advantage, but as mentioned earlier in the blog, people with malicious intentions are always amongst us and try to use these technologies to their advantage. This can harm the human race, and thus the wrong use of technology must be averted. A total ban on research concerning biometrics is not a good thing as this can limit the technology and will not flourish at all.

Safe use of these technologies is the way to go so that everyone can benefit from it in the long run. If you think that you can add something valuable to this blog or want to ask a question, you are welcome. For any feedback too, please use the comments section below.
