How to Use Android Phone As Biometric Device

Spread the love

Just think, if you can use an android phone for your biometric project how cool it will be? You can take it anywhere you want, perform remote biometric enrollment and identification on the field.

I am sure you had thought about this so many times but couldn’t figure out how to do that. Would you believe me if I said it is super easy? You can scan biometric on an Android device from anywhere you want to register and identify someone. Here’s how you can achieve it:

Why Should You Use Android Phone As Biometric Device

The answer is pretty simple. You need an android phone because it is easy to carry. It is flexible, and you can use it anywhere you want. The operating system is very common, and as a result, it is easy to use for any biometric enrollment and identification project. If you want to learn more about using an Android phone as a biometric device, you can reach out to M2SYS for expert assistance. They can provide valuable insights and solutions to help you implement this technology effectively.

The Android Mobile Device

Not all android phones can perform biometric scans to register or identify someone. This is mostly because of lack of permission provided by the Android operating system and lack of compatibility between different biometric sensors used by different manufacturers and your matching engine’s quality requirement. Besides, regular fingerprint sensor found in today’s smartphones are only good for unlocking your phone. However, to perform sophisticated biometric registration and to identify someone’s identity from your database, you will need a particular android phone with a high-quality biometric scanner that can save biometric data according to the requirement of your matching engine.

M2SYS have 3 android phones and 1 tablet that is perfect for any biometric identification or enrollment project. These devices are

The Biometric App

Now that you have a device to perform your biometric enrollment project, it’s time to get an app for it. Don’t worry; you do not need to hire any app developers for that. You can make it without any coding knowledge by using CloudApper™. It is a no code application building platform. With this platform, you can make your own customize application according to your project need. You don’t need to worry about integrating biometric with your App, CloudApper comes with biometric functionality out of the box. As soon as you finish building this app ( won’t take too much of your time ) you will be ready for your biometric project.

I Already Have The App

If you already have an app that does not include biometric functionality, this step is for you. You need to integrate biometrics with your app—subscribe to CloudABIS™ biometric API. This solution makes the process incredibly simple, taking only a few hours to connect with the biometric API. CloudABIS is a multimodal matching engine that supports fingerprint, finger vein, face, and iris recognition. It is highly scalable, allowing you to adjust based on your requirements anytime. Once your app is connected to CloudABIS, use your Android mobile device for fast and reliable 1

Great question. Technically its possible but, the slow matching speed & low fingerprint image quality of available scanning hardware’s in the market is restricting us from adding iOS device compatibility to our solutions. We don’t want to offer any half baked solution to our customers. That’s why we are working round the clock to bring you the best mobile solution for iOS devices very soon. In the mean time you can try using our facial recognition technology through CloudABIS on your iOS devices.
