People around the world are more concerned about their security. Everyone wants to ensure proper security at home, in the workplace, on their borders, and other common places. Once upon a time establishing a “secure” environment meant individual identification was checked manually, but those days are dwindling in favor of automated systems that rely on biometric credentials. Biometric identification has emerged as a stable, secure method of individual identification that offers higher security than traditional methods which include passwords, personal identification numbers (PINs), or identification cards.

Commensurate with the rise in biometric identification management technology has been a significant increase of biometric associations and regulatory boards around the world to observe and regulate the industry and help facilitate communication to improve it.
