U.S. Vision deploys M2SYS Technology’s RightPunch™ biometric time clock to help increase workforce optimization
Buddy punching cited as primary concern for using PC-based biometric time clock
Atlanta, GA (February 26, 2013) – M2SYS Technology announced today that U.S. Vision has deployed its RightPunch™ PC-based biometric time clock attendance system. The biometric time clock seamlessly interfaces with U.S. Vision’s Kronos timekeeping software and allows employees to clock in and out through biometric authentication, optimizing labor tracking performance.
Powered by the M2SYS Hybrid Biometric Platform, RightPunch™ offers support for fingerprint, finger vein, palm vein and iris biometrics, ensuring that 100% of employees are reliably and consistently identified. The biometric attendance system also supports offline punch storage and schedule enforcement, as well as alternate punch submission mechanisms like PIN entry.
The RightPunch™ biometric time clock software is installed on servers at each of U.S. Vision’s over 700 locations. Each server then connects to the M2SYS Central Data Management System, which synchronizes data, such as biometric templates and employee schedules, between site locations. Employees simply scan their finger on the biometric device and their timestamp is recorded and then automatically reconciled with the Kronos Workforce Timekeeper timekeeping software.
“Our RightPunch™ PC-based biometric time clock solution perfectly complements the Kronos timekeeping software that is used by U.S. Vision,” said Michael Trader, President of M2SYS. “RightPunch™ drastically reduces payroll error rates, expedites the clock in/out process and is a great way to augment wall mounted biometric time clocks. In addition, the solution produces a concrete audit trail of time and attendance system data that can be reviewed to quickly settle disputes and ensure compliance with labor laws.”
“RightPunch™ is a smart addition that will help to strengthen our labor tracking strategies and supplement our goal of helping employees boost productivity and increase accountability to achieve optimal performance,” noted Carmen Nepa, U.S. Vision’s CFO. “We are confident that this improves our Kronos workforce management timekeeping software attendance system and is an important piece of the puzzle in our continued efforts to reduce payroll inflation for lower labor costs and to achieve maximum return on investment.”
